Use the checklist

Opens the print dialog in this tab. Choose Save as PDF if your browser offers it.

Your private preparation

Work through the checklist.

Check a topic when you have considered it. Keep actual answers and figures in your own notes. You can skip an item that does not apply.

Only checkbox choices are held in this page's temporary memory. They reset when the page reloads or you leave it. The kit does not save or send your choices, accept documents, or ask you to enter business or personal information. Keep notes in your own records.

1. Explain the business purpose

Think through these prompts in your own notes. You do not need to enter an answer here.

2. Organize revenue and existing obligations

Use facts you can support with records. There is no universal revenue threshold or automatic decision in this kit.

3. Locate documents often needed

Locate records in your own secure files first. The selected provider determines which documents and periods are actually needed; not every item applies to every request.

Before sharing any records

Locate documents. Do not upload them here.

Keep sensitive records off this public page. Do not send bank statements, tax returns, identity documents, account numbers, or banking credentials through public forms or ordinary email. If documents are needed, ask lendDEFY staff for the appropriate private portal and confirm the request before uploading. Never share your banking password.

Bring these questions to a conversation

Compare the full terms, not just the headline.

Use the same six questions for each written proposal. A lower payment alone does not establish a lower cost or a suitable structure.

  1. 1.What is the full cost, including every fee?

Ask for interest or finance charges, origination, broker or referral compensation, closing costs, servicing charges, and ongoing fees in writing. Ask who is paid, by whom, and whether a fee is deducted from proceeds.

  2. 2.What must be paid, how often, and for how long?

Compare payment or remittance amounts, daily versus weekly versus monthly timing, total repayment, term, amortization, and any balloon or maturity balance. Test the schedule against slower business periods.

  3. 3.How is the pricing described and how can I compare it?

Ask whether pricing is fixed or variable and request the applicable disclosures. A factor multiple is not an interest rate or APR. Compare total cost, net proceeds, and payment timing, not just headline numbers.

  4. 4.What collateral, guarantees, or restrictions apply?

Ask about pledged assets, UCC filings, personal or business guarantees, financial covenants, and restrictions on additional financing. Understand what happens if a required payment or covenant is missed.

  5. 5.What happens if I pay early, refinance, or renew?

Ask about prepayment charges, whether early payoff actually reduces costs, renewal fees, and any refinance or exit assumptions. Do not rely on an expected refinance to remove a balloon-payment risk.

  6. 6.How much usable cash arrives, and what still needs review?

Separate gross funding from cash after fees and existing-debt payoffs. Ask about conditions, required records, cancellation terms, and realistic timing. Compare written terms before accepting; a conversation is not a commitment.

FAQ answer summary

Funding readiness kit answers

Is the funding readiness kit really free?

Yes. Read the complete guide and use its checklist here without paying, creating an account, providing contact details, or requesting follow-up. Print it through your browser if you want your own copy. Any later financing or paid service is separate and needs its own terms.

Does finishing the checklist qualify my business for funding?

No. There is no score, automatic decision, lender match, approval, or denial. The boxes are only reminders for your own preparation. A provider must review the actual business, obligations, documents, and transaction before determining any options or terms.

Are my checkbox choices saved or sent anywhere?

No. The checklist holds only checkbox choices in temporary page memory, not in browser storage or a database. Reloading or leaving the page resets them. The kit does not send the choices to lendDEFY, analytics, or a lender. Keep your own private notes if you want to record answers.

Where should I send financial or identity documents?

Do not send them through this public guide, a public contact form, or ordinary email. If a review needs records, ask lendDEFY staff for the appropriate private portal and confirm the request before uploading. Never share banking passwords. The kit itself has no upload feature.

Can I print the guide or save it as a PDF?

Use Print or save PDF to open your browser's print dialog in this tab. Choose paper printing or Save as PDF if your browser supports it. The printable guide includes the preparation items, comparison questions, and FAQ answers. No file is emailed and no new tab opens.

Will using the kit sign me up for follow-up or a newsletter?

No. Reading, checking boxes, or printing does not submit contact details or request contact. Request optional follow-up only if you want a conversation, using the separate form and its consent choices. This is not a newsletter signup, scheduled email offer, or promise of automatic messages.

Business-purpose financing education only. This checklist is not an application, score, eligibility determination, approval, denial, credit decision, offer, quote, lender match, or funding commitment. Checking a box does not establish qualification. No credit inquiry, lender submission, document upload, or contact request occurs from using the kit. Requirements, costs, timing, and availability depend on the transaction and provider's human review. Any paid service or financing terms require separate disclosures and agreement.
